Through the eyes of a 5 yr old

A bit of impressionism to start the day. This is the first piece in my Disneyland series. I was scanning pictures yesterday, starting with the oldest ones I could find, and there was a badly worn picture of a very tiny me, climbing in to a Matterhorn Bobsled. My father was already sitting and holding his arms open for me to get settled. He had muttonchops!!!!

This was a very special moment for me, and one I remember vividly. My father is a very hard working man, and whenever we went to Anahiem it was for his business trips...which was about twice a year. This was one of the very few trips that he had time to go to Disneyland with us. It was my first time on the Matterhorn, and I didn't know what to expect. I saw this image in my nightmares for years after...Even still, vile creature and all, I knew I was safe. My father's arms wrapped around me, and the sound of his baritone laughter in my ear.
